Used to be great but huge flaw now

How do you go from 5 stars to 1 star? Remove the one-click shutdown option that prevents the GPS from running when not using the app. My battery life is awful now thanks to this update. Don't download unless they fix this.

This is an update to a previously good review. I've been using ways for many years now but I think it's time to give it the boot. It started with the advertisements popping up everywhere I went for Taco Bell and other crap I would never use.

Fast forward to present day and now I'm constantly annoyed by pop ups and other things regarding social networking.

Even simple tasks like navigating home have now become a chore. Voice navigation never worked very well so in summary that's it Waze it's been a fun ride but at the end of the day what I need is GPS, not more social.

It's hard to take an app seriously when it attempts to thwart driver input based on safety, yet pops up Facebook this and social that every time I touch the display. Seriously waze you have your own community, leave Facebook out of this.
