Newest version worst ever

The newest version has so much garbage on the screen I could barely find the weather. This is nearly unusable. It's gotten worse with every update and it has finally driven me away. Don't bother to download.
Just got even worse, if that is possible. Now there is an ad as the background! One of the real joys of the past versions was the background matching the weather. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!'
Unbelievably, this app just got even worse! They now have a jeep ad as the main background. They have completely destroyed an app I used to go to many times a day. It's sad. I miss it.
Unbelievably, this app just got even worse! They got rid of the jeep ad so I reloaded it but the latest update just put in a Pantene ad. I am dumping it for good now. Accuweather is much much much better!!!

The slowest app I own

This is THE slowest app on my iPhone: • 60 seconds to launch with a FiOS connection.
• minimum of 10 seconds between a tap and a resulting action
• 30 second waits when switching between the tabs for info on the current city
• nearly 60 seconds to switch cities
The data is good once it shows up, but the app seems more concerned with downloading advertisements than the weather information.
I remember once when this was a lean quick app under 12 MB. It had the current, 36 hour & 10 forecasts, plus alerts, video & maps. How did this get so bloated?
It now downloads at 25 MB, and currently occupies 75 MB on my iPhone. What's the extra 50 MB of cache doing? Certainly doesn't seem to speed up the program, so I imagine it's caching ads & consumer data.
Again, the info, once it arrives is good – it's just so frustrating to use. Simply checking the weather shouldn't take 2 minutes, let alone eight.

New version now has about >10% screen real estate given to ads. Nothing else noticeable added. I'll be looking elsewhere.
